Between the Board Meeting wrap-up of the Rainbow Awards Gala, daily work stuff, photography ( yes still running ShadowCatcher Ltd. Photography), we also had a bullying/harassment issue at a local school that needed to be dealt with (and will be on-going (if you are on Facebook, click here ). This issue has allowed me to meet one of the strongest mother/son teams ever. I cannot praise them enough and it has also allowed me to be a part of a change that NEEDS to occur not only locally but nationally.
John Dawe (my boss and fearless leader) stated in an email to the Rainbow Alliance Board Members, “Tremendous kudos to Lori Prashker-Thomas, our program assistant – who not only worked tirelessly (ok she got a LITTLE tired) on helping ensure the success of our recent gala, but has worked nonstop for the last 4 days on this issue.”
I would like to publicly thank John and the Rainbow Alliance Board Members. I truly appreciate the kind words, but in all honesty I am the one that is truly grateful to be able to work with such an incredible organization and people within and outside the organization. I come to work on a daily basis truly blessed because I can finally be a part of an organization where not only can I watch progress and change being made in our area but also because I am now able to truly help to be a part of that change. Thank you again for giving me this opportunity.
